While the near-term challenges related to the financial markets crisis and economic slowdown are slowing growth in the short term, the demographic-driven fundamentals of the hospitality industry remain strong, positioning lodging companies for substantial growth in the longer term. As lodging companies build new properties in anticipation of future growth, they require senior leaders with a broader set of skills than in the past. This study looks at the strategies lodging companies are adopting to develop and acquire the leaders they need.
