Francisco Gasset joined Spencer Stuart in 1979 and has since served on the firm's worldwide board of directors from 1988 to 1992 and from 1997 to 2001, and managed the firm's Spanish operations from 1992 to 1997. He is currently chairman of the firm’s board nominations committee.
As a member of Spencer Stuart's Board Services and European Consumer Goods & Services practices, Francisco has conducted a large number of searches, particularly in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. His search work also includes assignments for industrial, pharmaceutical, financial and technology companies, as well as board and legal positions. He has been leader of the firm's Strategic Leadership Services in Europe.
Francisco began his career in the consumer division of the Spanish Group Fierro, and later joined the Williams and Humbert Sherry Company, as CEO responsible for operations in more than 120 countries.
Francisco earned a law degree from the University of Madrid and an M.B.A. from I.E.S.E. in Barcelona. Based in Madrid, Francisco speaks Spanish and English.
