Luis Ferrandiz has a B.S. in industrial engineering from the ETSII of Madrid and a M.B.A. from I.E.S.E. Business School in Barcelona. He speaks Spanish and English.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, he was an assistant to the general manager of Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), later manager of mergers and acquisitions in Internacional de Management Financiero, S.A. In 1979, he moved to Banco Urquijo, S.A. to become vice president of mergers and acquisitions, as well as member of the board in several companies owned by this bank within the industrial, food and consulting sectors.
He joined Spencer Stuart as an associate in 1984 and was responsible for the establishment of the Barcelona office.
He has belonged to several committees of the firm, among them the Audit Committee and the International Nomination Committee. At present, he is a member of the Energy (Industrial) and Board Services practices.
