James Lawrence-Brown is a member of the firm’s Financial Services Practice and a member of Spencer Stuart’s Hong Kong office. With more than 15 years of search experience, James specializes in a range of financial services assignments, with a focus on wholesale banking (corporate & investment banking and global markets), as well as working across asset management, private equity, insurance and consumer financial services.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, James was a consultant for the Hong Kong office of an international search firm, where he developed and led the firm’s equity derivatives practice across Japan, China, Taiwan, India, Korea and Southeast Asia. He was also active in the origination and execution of financial services executive searches within the investment banking, capital markets and hedge funds/principal businesses sectors.
James offers a deep understanding of global banking and markets and broad international experience earned over his 11 years in Hong Kong and through previous executive search roles in London and Frankfurt.
James is an honors graduate of Kingston University, where he earned a degree in history.
