Carl Gilchrist leads the Information Officer Practice in North America and brings more than 30 years of information technology knowledge to his recruitment effort, providing him with the expertise to search for senior information technology executives. He currently leads Spencer Stuart’s North American Information Officer Practice.
Carl has placed more than 300 Chief Information Officers and other information technology leaders across a broad range of industries. His understanding of business processes and trends in information technology has led to placements at Baxter International, Coca-Cola Company, Express Scripts, H.J. Heinz, Hertz Corporation, Hewlett-Packard Company, Kellogg Company, Kroger Company, Merck & Company, Medtronic, MoneyGram International, The Nielsen Company, US Airways and he also has worked with many of the top venture capital firms.
Carl is a five-time recipient of the firm’s annual Lou Rieger Quality Award. Also, he has been a member of the firm’s Partner Nomination and Client Services Committees.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart in 1998, Carl was managing partner of another international executive search firm. Previously, he held numerous executive positions in sales, marketing and services with IBM.
Carl received a bachelor of science degree in business and public administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Maryland.
