Karen Quint is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s San Francisco office and a member of the Financial Officer Practice, where she focuses exclusively on senior-level financial executive searches, including chief financial officer, corporate controller, treasury, tax and investor relations positions. She also conducts searches for financial experts and audit committee members for clients’ board of directors. From an industry perspective, she spends most of her time in the consumer and financial services arena where some of her recent clients include Best Buy, The Cheesecake Factory, L.L. Bean, VF Corporation, Charles Schwab and Union Bank. Karen also does significant CFO work for portfolio companies of leading private equity firms. She has won the Lou Rieger Quality Award for the San Francisco office.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Karen spent 13 years with another international search firm and six years with two boutique search firms on both the East and West Coasts.
Karen is a frequent speaker at financial executive conferences presenting on talent management and the changing role of the chief financial officer. She has been a featured speaker and panelist for the Financial Executives Institute, Corporate Executive Board Roundtables, NACT (National Association Corporate Treasurers) and the National Investor Relations Institute.
A native of Maine, Karen earned her B.A. degree in American studies from Connecticut College. She and her family live in Ross, California.
