Sarah Keeling is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Board Services Practice. Sarah specialises in the property sector and also conducts board and senior management level searches for the consumer products, private equity, defense and security sectors.
Sarah spent 21 years working in government service, specialising in the Middle East and security issues, the last four of which were in senior management roles. Her work involved operating in sensitive political environments, interpreting complex international issues and influencing key Whitehall decision-makers. Sarah additionally held two Foreign Office appointments, was a strategy advisor to the Association of Chief Police Officers and held two senior HR posts, one as head of training and the other focusing on talent management.
Sarah has considerable expertise in corporate governance and risk management issues in the government sector. Outside government service, she has been a director of a U.K.-based commercial property company for 12 years.
Sarah graduated in French and European studies from London University and spent one year at the Sorbonne (Science Politiques). Before joining government service, she spent three years working at The British Museum as a research assistant in the Department of Medieval and Later Antiquities, researching C18 European porcelain. She speaks fluent French as well as Farsi, German, Italian and Spanish.
