Fernando leads Spencer Stuart’s Bogota office and conducts searches mostly within the firm’s Financial Services, Professional Services and Industrial practices.
With more than 21 years of professional experience, Fernando served as vice president and senior relationship banker at ABN AMRO Bank in Bogota, responsible for a portfolio of clients in Colombia and North Latin America. He focused on origination and execution of share-of-mind products, such as cross-border structured financing, mergers and acquisitions, debt capital markets and project advisory. Fernando also was head commercial banker with Banco Santander Central Hispano (BSCH), where he was responsible for middle-market clients, and as a product manager at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA).
Fernando earned an MBA from Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain and a B.S. in Economics from Universidad Javeriana in Bogota.
