William Alexander leads Spencer Stuart's Technology, Communications & Media Practice in Europe, the Middle East and India. He specializes in the recruitment of senior executives and non-executive directors within the converging arenas of software, media and telecommunications. William leads searches for both listed and private equity held corporate clients as well as early-stage venture capital backed businesses.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, William helped establish and led MetaPack, a venture capital-backed software company, from start-up to sustainable profitability. Prior to this, he was IBM's worldwide manager for retail supply chain solutions and the finance and development director at Broadsystem, the interactive media division of News International. He started his career as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company.
William studied politics, philosophy and economics at Oriel College, Oxford, and has an M.B.A. from INSEAD.
