Catherine Bright leads the firm's Private Equity Practice in Europe where she advises mid-market and large firms on chief executive officer, finance director and top management appointments for portfolio companies, as well as operating partners for the investment firms. She brings 16 years of international experience from ICI and Kimberly-Clark, including senior roles in both corporate headquarter and operating businesses.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Catherine spent eight years with ICI, first as the group strategic planner supporting the major transition from commodity to specialty chemicals. She moved into the operating businesses, initially with Quest International as finance director of the fragrance division and progressed to become vice president of personal care at Uniqema and a member of the executive management team. Before ICI, Catherine’s early career was with Kimberly-Clark in the U.S. and Europe. Originally a project engineer during the global expansion program of the infant care brands, she moved into production management and then product development.
Catherine earned an M.B.A. from INSEAD and a first-class honors degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Leeds University. She also is a chartered engineer.
