Mark Broer specializes in recruiting senior executives within the life sciences sector, with a particular focus on pharmaceutical, medical technology and biotechnology assignments across Europe. He is head of the firm's global Pharmaceuticals Practice and has more than 15 years of experience in industry and professional services, focused exclusively in life sciences.
Before moving into executive search, Mark was senior vice president at a European-based investment bank, where he managed pan-European client teams for life sciences customers and was responsible for advising clients on major and/or cross-border transactions, including equity placements, M&A and corporate finance. Previously, Mark worked in business management, marketing, business development and corporate strategy at two international life sciences companies. Earlier, Mark served as aspirant fighter pilot in the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
Mark is fluent in English and Dutch, and has a basic knowledge of German.
He received his Master of Science degree in pharmacology from the University of Amsterdam and his M.B.A. in a joint program between Erasmus University and the University of Rochester, New York.
