Cathy Anterasian leads Executive Assessment Services for Spencer Stuart in North and South America. She is also a member of the firm’s Board & CEO as well as the Technology, Communications & Media and Consumer Goods & Services practices.
An expert in executive assessment, Cathy advises boards and chief executive officers on the capabilities and potential of their teams, and in the development of strategies to prepare executives for C-suite and CEO succession. She is an active contributor to thought leadership on the fundamentals that drive executive performance and how to cultivate these traits in leaders. Cathy also applies her expertise in leadership assessment to executive search and director recruitment. Her work has won her the firm's Lou Rieger Quality Award on two separate occasions. She is also active in the training and development of Spencer Stuart consultants.
Earlier, Cathy served as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, where she specialized in strategy development, marketing, organizational effectiveness and operational excellence. She has also been a professor of marketing at the University of Southern California and a systems engineer with IBM.
Cathy holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, in economics from U.C.L.A.
