Chris leads Spencer Stuart's Financial Services Practice in the U.K., where he focuses on investment management, wholesale financial services and risk management. Since joining the firm in 1997, he has conducted assignments to find investment, distribution and operations professionals for clients in hedge funds, other investment managers, funds of funds, private equity firms and family offices. He has also helped clients recruit into securities research and sales teams. His risk management practice has included finding chief risk officers for two of the world’s largest banks. His assignments frequently have a significant cross-border dimension, and he has successfully recruited in a number of countries including the U.S., Japan, Germany, Spain, France and South Africa.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Chris worked at the derivatives specialist publication Risk Magazine, where he focused on developments in the capital markets and hedge fund industries.
He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he gained his M.A. and Ph.D., and served as a research fellow at Queens' College.
