Fergus Wilson is a leading recruiter in the energy sector who has completed hundreds of search assignments for senior-level executives, including chairmen, CEOs and numerous functional and technical specialists for multinationals, privately owned groups, venture capitalists and nonprofit organizations, in both the U.K. and the U.S., as well as in many other countries.
Fergus started his career as a petroleum geologist in the oil industry working on international assignments, primarily in the Far East and Africa. In 1986, he joined a leading international executive search firm in London, where he spent five years before joining Spencer Stuart in 1991.
He has a particular interest in the energy sector, conducting national and international assignments for a number of different utilities and oil and gas multinationals, as well as for smaller independent U.K. oil companies.
Fergus received a B.Sc. in geological sciences at the University of Birmingham and an M.B.A. from the City University Business School in London.
