Jennifer Herrmann is a lawyer and leads Spencer Stuart's Legal Search Practice in North America. She handles senior in house legal assignments across multiple industries, including financial services, consumer goods and services, industrial, life sciences and technology. Her work includes general counsel searches as well as corporate secretary, chief compliance officer and senior securities counsel assignments. Jennifer also co-heads the firm’s Legal Search Practice globally.
Jennifer has conducted numerous major legal and compliance searches for financial services companies, including general counsel searches for AIG, Allianz Global Investors, Bank of New York, Eaton Vance, FINRA, H&R Block, HSBC, Invesco, Lincoln Financial, Och-Ziff, State Street Global Advisors, UnumProvident and Zurich Financial Services. Her chief compliance officer searches in the sector include Bank of America, Citizens Financial Group, HSBC, Invesco, Lincoln Financial, Mercer Global Investments, Prudential Financial and Washington Mutual.
Her work across a wide variety of other industries has included general counsel searches for Bechtel Group, Boeing, Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, Cinergy, Eaton, Fluor, Hilton, ITT, Northrop Grumman and Sunoco. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart in 1997, Jennifer was an attorney with the Philadelphia law firm of Marks, O'Neill, Reilly, O'Brien and Courtney, P.C., where she specialized in litigation. She is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware state and federal bars.
Jennifer earned her law degree from Widener University School of Law and graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in international relations.
